“We’ve known each other for over 14 years. We actually dated in middle school which is something we always joke about. About 3 years ago on New Years Eve we ran into each other at Power Plant Live and have been dating since! It was like we hadn’t skipped a beat.”
The Proposal
“On Christmas Eve of 2019, Ryan proposed while doing a secret Santa gift exchange in front of all of my extended family. He pretended to be opening his gift, and pulled out my engagement ring instead and proposed.”
The Wedding
Ryan, Cassidy, their friends, family, and a few thousand extra guests *cough cough – Cicadas* celebrated together at Cassidy’s parent’s farm. What a fun, intimate location to host their wedding. The weather was HOT, but under the shade of some old trees we watched as Ryan and Cassidy shared the vows they wrote for each other – which included childhood memories, their dog Boh, dreams of a future family, and of course LOTS of happy tears. Even the cows in the pasture came running to the fence as Cassidy’s father walked her down the aisle – one might argue they had the best seat int the house. The Upton’s popped some champagne, played some corn hole, smashed some cake, and of course tore up the dance floor… little did we expect the flower girls and ring bearer to be showing everyone up with their awesome dance moves. It was an absolutely perfect day!
