The Couple

“Our story began October 2014 on Main Street in Old Ellicott City. Shea and I had met through mutual friends a few months earlier, but didn’t reconnect until our first date at the legendary Phoenix Emporium in Old Ellicott City. We felt an instant connection and knew we wanted to keep seeing each other, even though I was living in Virginia at the time. We built our connection and love for one another spending every weekend together. Now, almost 5 years later we have had many wonderful times together including, our little pup Harvey, an engagement, and a house! We are so excited for what lies ahead.”

The Proposal

Our proposal happened on January 11, 2018 in San Diego.
On our first day in San Diego, our group of friends went to the San Diego Zoo and then headed to Sunset Cliffs to see the sunset and get some good photos.
We arrived to the cliffs a few minutes before sunset and, after some convincing, Shea walked me out onto the ledge. I took my phone out to try and get some good photos for Instagram (totally oblivious) and while I was doing that, Shea got down on one knee. I turned towards him and was stunned, I had no clue that he was going to propose, and the first words out of my mouth were “ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?” Shea told me no, I’m not kidding! And then asked me to marry him and I said yes!
It took a few minutes, but I was finally able to catch my breath and turned to see all of my friends cheering and taking pictures further up on the cliff. The celebration continued that night with dinner and a party at Barley Mash. It’s safe to say, that was the best sunset of my life.

The Wedding

Elizabeth and Shea had a perfect wedding day. Amazing fall weather with a light warm breeze – absolutely amazing. Before their ceremony, Elizabeth and Shea shared their vows with each other from behind doors. They did not want to see each other prior, but still wanted to share their vows intimately. This was such a sweet moment as Shea choked up talking about all the things he adored about Elizabeth. It was clear they were meant for each other as they both had very similar vows including song lyrics and of course Harvey (their ‘sweet but psycho’ pup). Following their ceremony, we strolled around Main Street Ellicott City for portraits of the Newlyweds – store fronts, murals, and ended the stroll popping a bottle of champagne to celebrate! It was time to party and boy did they know how to party! Great Scott Productions had the dance floor packed all night. Family and friends had a blast bustin moves, and singing into the microphone. But, my favorite part of the dance floor activities was when Elizabeth and Shea chest bumped… I mean, does it get any better than that?! Start scrolling to see the highlights!
